Hole in Bass

I want to add a whole in my bass drum head. I have a show tomorrow night, and I need a quick way. I've heard just tracing a coffee can will work, is that true or is there an easier way? Eventually I'll get a new reso with a vent in it, but I can't do that before tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Heat up a coofee can and melt through it. And do you even know what its actualyl called or does? its not jsut "A Hoel in the Bass Drum" you know

yeah...put a coffee can on the stove...till its red hot...and i mean RED hot...its crucial that the can is hot enough so it burns through easily...if not the whole head is ruined...

Heat can...
Place on head...
remove can...
remove circle piece...
Replace on drum
