is there anything abnormal required in changing string gauge/tuning

on a nonfloyd strat? i know ive heard something atleast like intonation, just wondering.. going from half a step down to normal, plus 10s going to 9s

The only that will change is the tension, which might cause the action to raise a little. That has happened to me before with a fixed bridge. But this has only happened like, once.

Yeah dude, you might want to try to adjust your bridge. Because mine got raised so far up, it was 45 degrees, really annoying. Had to end up blocking my bridge.
