Local Musicians

This probably doesnt belong here, but I feel more comfortable posting it here. So what are musicians like in your town. And feel free to post links to local bands sites if you want.

My town has a couple of good musicians, cool guys, but a lot of them are just idiots.

the guy that wrote the stuff for red nice guy used to be an amazing bassist in a band called strobe 45.. he was a aggressive funk driven bassist that played with a very noisy talented guitarist..

in the band he is in he writes all the songs but he doesnt play bass in the band

musicians in my area seem pretty cool. at least the ones ive met and/or hung out with... which pretty much limits it to metal players, but still... there seems to be a fairly large amount of musicians around here... probably due to it being the capital of my state or something.

the young kids (age 15-20) that play here are mostly either metal heads or punks. i know about five people my age that like jazz and prog, and other cool but not popular genre.
the older musicians are cooler to hang with. i know quite a few blues and jazz musicians, and a few country players.

and it not rlly local to me ut i saw Whorrid play out in chitown and they simply blew me away. i was gonna stay out there for a while and play for em but it wouldnt have ever worked out. www.whorrid.com

Most of the local musicians are asshats, or they're terrible at their instrument. There are a few that are cool and decent at it. The bands around here don't even bear mentioning, they mostly suck.
