we have a set up with a halfstack and we are looking to find a more powerful halfstack for metal and we want something heavy but clear making each note understandable and apart from the others help us out, need suggestions for a set up that will be strong.

Sherlock Fathead.

Otherwise, get a Peavey 5150 or a JCM800.

Those amps are pretty loud and clear.

since when was hitting hard a problem, were metal, everything about us is hard, i dont want to change that, we just would like more clear guitar amps, anyway the other day we made our half stack a full and it seems to be louder and we had a great jam, but i would still like something with clear notes that jump out at you, maybe the peavey 6150 its what a lot of metal heads use

CABINETS?

Drumming isn't about hitting hard, even if you are metal. It's all about dynamics. Most people think a good metal drummer is a hard hitter that beats the **** out of his drums. Yes, at times it is necessary to hit harder in certain parts of a song. But like I said, just because you play metal, doesnt mean you have to hit hard.
