I play guitar/vocals in a three piece punk rock band.

I'm a better guitarist then I am a singer, but I have a distinctive voice, and my singing has got much better in recant months.

I know from a musicianship point of view, I'd have to take on a singer rather then a guitarist, but we're worried about losing a distinct sounding voice and my edge as a frontman (I've been told I have excellent stage presense).

I feel I could help my stage presense and my singing by passing guitar duties on to someone else.

Do you guys think it's a good idea to bring in the guitarist or not?

ATM my plan is to have a few rehearsals with someone I have lined up, then try him out as a "guest guitarist" on a couple of songs at our next gig, which is in February.

...God...dude....

I can't tell you how much I dislike this song without being mean, so I'll stop there.

The vocals need massive work, they're talky and noninstrumental, and the background vocals are off key, and both are at the end with the ho ho ho yea yea yea thing. The music could be better of course but the vocals should be the first thing to get corrected IMHO.

Go for the new singer... or practice a LOT, and get some lessons.
Good luck with your band

I thought so.

Singers are hard to find though...especially a good frontman.
