'Sup guys? I don't post here much, but I do listen to a wee bit of pop-punkish stuff, so I figured I might as well post occasionally.

Anyway;

http://www.purevolume.com/boysnightout

Listen to "I Got Punched..." and that's what all their old stuff sounds like. Their CD Make Yourself Sick is my favorite by them, but their EP Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses is still pretty good.

I hate their new CD. I found it boring and was thoroughly disappoited. I didn't like the new stuff they tried. :upset:

Any thoughts or opinions on this band?

Oh erm gee, haven't heard much apart from songs on PV which i didn't really like.

^ Yeah, all the songs but the last one are off their newest CD Trainwreck, which was possibly one of the most disappointing albums I've ever bought. It's boring, dry, and has no substance. :(

Never listened to them, but I saw them at Warped last year and they were good.

I'll check them out.

I have both of their full lengths downloaded, but have only ever properly listened to Trainwreck. It is pretty good, but nothing extraordinary really. I like how all the song titles end in "-ing" though.

It's not like we have each other's cell phone numbers and are starting a band!

I've met him at the Starbucks in Salem a few times...that's all. Really cool guy...smelled like ***, but was really cool nonetheless.

Make Yourself Sick is really good. Trainwreck was okay, I guess.

They're a good band though.

It's a concept album.

I really like these guys, I have Trainwreck, which I really like, and a t-shirt.

I only know the song Punched in the face and it's OK I guess, but a wee too poppy for the screaming IMO

They're pretty good. I don't listen to 'em often, but when I do, I enjoy it.

I saw them live about 3 years ago. They were pretty good and I downloaded a few songs, but they weren't well known then, maybe I should look for some more now that they are getting more popular.

I saw them at the nintendo fusion tour a while back with Fall Out Boy, I dont know why you think the new CD is so bad, I thought it was really good, if not better than the first one.

I saw them play here in Boston once...it was the last show with their original drummer. 'Twas sad. :(

Awesome set, though.

Thanks, Rissa. :)

I love them old stuff and new stuff. I like almost every song off of Make Yourself Sick and I still liked Trainwreck but didn't like it as much as MYS. I love Boys Night Out I saw them live and they were amazing.

Trainwreck is amazing. Especially if you understand the concept story behind it.

I don't understand the concept behind it. I've triedto figure it out, but all I have come to conclusion is a murder took place.

I don't understand the concept behind it. I've triedto figure it out, but all I have come to conclusion is a murder took place.

It's in the album cover booklet. Basically, this guy has a violent nightmare one night, and he strangles his wife to death (supposedly he really really loved her, you get the deal). Instead of going to jail they point out that hes mentally insane and he is put into a hospital...I haven't read the story in a long time so I dont remember much, but I know that he hears the ghost of her all the time, and at the end the doctor finds him pretty much dead on the floor. Read up on it if you'd like.

I haven't read the booklet yet, so that would explain it. I might read it tonight.

Meh, I have Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses and it's kind of mediocre. They have some cool stuff going but they can't make up their mind where they wanna go. However, I find it incredibly lame how they sold out their old sound (which had I tiny bit of originality) for boring and cliche soft pop-punk.

They're meant to be supporting Less Than Jake, when I see them.

So I should get into them a bit more.
