I love Morrowind! The sucky part is that now that I have my 360 and my regular xbox doesnt work I have to wait for oblivion. But I love morrowind. So this thread is dedicated to those who love this spectacular game as much as I do. This thread is also dedicated to Oblivion when it finally comes out in March. (if this thread is around that long.) Have fun with it!:thumb:

I loved morrowind but I'm not going to buy the 360 or upgrade a computer solely for oblivion. Looks kick-*** though.

I know it may sound stupid, but I basically bought the 360 for oblivion. Now perfect dark zero, doa, king kong, and call of duty are all kick *** too but mostly it was for oblivion

What about Arena and Daggerfall? You are forgetting the games that made the series what it is today? The Elder Scrolls series is possibly my favourite RPG series of all time. I can't wait for Oblivion and look forward to running it in all it's glory. I upgraded my PC so I can play it at the highest details, I don't want to miss anything.

I've just spent about £1500 upgrading my computer for playing games. It's mainly for Oblivion though.

What graphics card do you have? I'm getting a Nvidia 6600. It's $150 American and it will run the latest games that come out for the next two years. Not bad at all.

ATI Radeon X800 GTO, £120, it can be overclocked. But 1, I dont want to risk it, 2, It runs perfectly fine now so why bother.

My brother has that card and he is very happy with that. But to stay on topic, what is you favourite town/location on Morrowind?

Woah, you went all out haha.:p

I wanted something that could last me a few years that will run high end games and not break my bank. The 6600 filled that spot nicely.

This will be the first elder scrolls game for me actually. I'm very excited.

I worked all of my Christmas holidays so I could upgrade my computer and get my girlfriend a nice christmas present.

Look forward to Oblivion, it's promising to be the best in the series yet. You should get Morowind just now and pass the time, you won't be dissappointed.

I heard they are making Oblivion less longer and less like Morrowind because they want to sell more, but I hope not. I have Morrowind for Xbox and its probably my favorite game. The only downsides are the freezing often when you get really far in the game and the very slow loading times.

I don't think they are making it shorter but they have taken out a few skills. What they have added though is making it look like a better game overall, I doubt Bethseda are going to change the formula that much, just improve on what was lacking in Morrowind.

I heard it's suppose to be the longest one in the series?

I really like Balmora (especially the Balmora Expanded version), Gnisis, Suran and Pelagoid alot. I like balmora because it's just designed well, and pelagoid, well, I just love that building set.

So whats the story with classes in Elderscrolls? Are there any? Or do you have to train in them?

It's Pelagiad :¬P. I'm more partial to the Telvanni myself, Tel Mora and Tel Vos are probably my favourite towns in Morrowind.

Love the avatar.

When I worked at Gamestop and we got the 360 in for display...I watched the Oblivion trailer about 100 times in the first day. I'm getting a 360 for this game and this game alone.

Well, not alone...there will be other games that I want to get.

I always prefered glass weapons to Daedric weapons. They just looked better in my opinion.

If I didn't a good enough computer for Oblivion I would buy a Xbox 360 just for this game.

I went through a period where Morrowind was boring me, but I think this modder called Darknut has rekindled my excitement.

He has hi res texture replacements for just about all the armor, creatures, and weapons in the game!

Couple that with the visual pack mod, better bodies and a huge compilation of custom heads/hair for all the different races, and it'll be looking pretty fine.

I'm going to try out the Morrowind graphics extender as well but I don't know how well it will run on my machine.

I'm probably going to be installing about 50 something mods, and I can't wait to see how the game plays.

How many people think it would be awesome if Bethesda completely redid Morrowind from the ground up with the Oblivion engine and full voice acting while adding new content and improving the game with new technology? One can always hope. :D

I know it's weird that Morrowind had such terrible graphics (besides the water) when there were other games around the same time that looked much better.

Also LOL @ when it first game out people saying the system requirements were huge.

I mean maybe they were then but only a few years later they're about 5 times more for a new game.

daedric weapons always took up so much inventory space

I've got Morrowind sitting next to me, my old computer couldn't play it but this one definitely can so I shall have to give it a go.

Hopefully it's like Oblivion, but better without the creature levelling and empty towns.

Also isn't there a gigantic thread for this somewhere.
