You're so old school. I wish we had something as cool as easy bake ovens in our youth.

The most annoying fad in my childhood was chatter rings. Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z cards were very frustrating as well, but thankfully I only encountered them near the end of my childhood.

I also remember when the Teletubbies first came around, everybody on the playground would talk like them non-stop. So annoying, but I probably found it fun at the time.

The EasyBake oven rocked. One lightbulb and you could bake a cake, or make candies, etc.

They made them for awhile though, but probably not until you were born. :upset:

I had a tamagochi pet. I was quite fond of it, once I'd guessed my way to finding out what it liked.

...and then I lost it in another state. Oh, well. So goes family vacation to New York.

You know, I just realized that back in the day, I enjoyed the first two seasons of Digimon. After that it went to crap (comparatively). I mean, it was pretty cool and exciting for a while. Never got into the card game.

Chatter rings were a metal ring with 6 nuts around it, so you'd spin it around and it'd make a chattering noise. And you were supposed to do tricks with it and stuff, but nobody ever managed to do so.

You get mini ovens and we get metal rings with nuts on them? So much for technology.

Tamagotchi, and then eventually a Pokemon Pikachu, which was basically a more annoying version of a Tamagotchi.

AND, knockers (before you go any further with your thought process on this, this toy was two resin balls attached to strings with a metal ring in the middle of the strings. You could get them going and bang them together indefinitely). They came in various colors and you could kill someone with them if you threw them. I'm sure the manufacturer didn't intend for that latter purpose, but nevertheless.

And superballs. You could take out people with those, too.

Not to mention, hulahoops and pogosticks. It took me about 4 years to master my pogostick so I wasn't ending up face down on the cement when I jumped on it.

I know I've got something like that lying around.

Once, I went to a dollar store and bought a "do it yourself" superball kit. I made the ball easily enough, but it bounced about 4 inches and dried out in a week.

I was never good on a pogostick, but I can remembe rone time in grade shcool where this cute girl and I holohooped together on the last day of school.

I lasted about 15 minutes once, and I think she got up to about 45 or so.

Does it have blood on it from that last time you threw it at someone?

Man, you gotta have the real ones that when you throw them at a brick wall they fly about 2 miles...

What's really bad about the hulahoop is...a month or two ago my band went to set up in a venue we play every now and again...and there was a hulahoop hanging from a bracket in the wall (there to keep people's heads from banging into the bracket). I took it down and put in on. And found out I can still operate one. Sadness abounds. Or, hilarity, depending on your take on it...

Digimon first the toys then the show.

Pokemon
Dragonball/z/gt
Beyblades

I remember back in the early 90s, my cousin would download Dragon Ball/Z on a primitive computer.

Took about 4 hours per episode, and was really bad quality but, it's a fun little childhood memory.

Beyblade really sucks, but I was a little too old for that when it became big. Digimon always pissed me off because it was so similar to Pokemon.

I liked the Slip n Slide. Don't know if they still sell 'em because of various lawsuits, but basically you just attach a water hose to a tube that's connected to a long yellow vinyl/rubber runway and while the water squirts out little holes all along it you take a long flying leap onto it and slide your arse down the length of it. Good fun.

Plus I just like saying "slide your arse down the length of it". :p
