Who else loves this show? I must admit, I was doubtful it would deliver, but this is a really powerful show. I just watched the Martin Luther King Jr. episode, and even though it was funny, there was such a powerful meaning behind it.

Discuss.

Being pretty black, I can totally connect to Howie and how disgusted he is at his "race's culture"

I've always found the comics hilarious, and I find the show hysterical.
Just as a note I'm white, but goddamn is this show funny. It makes fun of the stupid black people (no offense anyone) that EVERYBODY knows about, while also making fun of the stupid white people (oh who cares, get offended)...

It's not even really a racist show, it just makes fun of stupid people.
And says "the n word" a lot.

The "Nigga moments"/Anal Rape episode was ****ing HILARIOUS

I love the Boondocks. Like you guys all said, each episode has a strong message behind it. And it's great to quote:

"Don't look at Quincy Jones! Quincy Jones ain't gonna help you!"

The part in The Passion of Reverend Ruckus where Huey prays almost made me cry. Go ahead, call me a pussy, but that was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Really funny show, it only just started being aired here in Australia on the Comedy Channel. My favourite episode so far is the MLK one.

Excellent show. You sort of have to be either black or familiar with black ghetto culture to really understand it though. I remember showing it to some of my college friends who are friggin farmers, and they just didn't get it. One of them couldn't even understand what the characters were saying.

I'm personally really surprised that a comic strip translated so well into a show.

My favorite new show on television (Meaning anything thats not rerun). It's funny, smart, witty and thought-provoking. We need more TV shows like this.

Uncle Ruckus just makes the whole show though.

Aaron Mcgruder is a genius.
I like how the characters in the strip/show are archetypes, makes it that much more interesting in addition to the hilarity.

Just recently started watching the show, its pretty awesome so far. The Samuel L. Jackson cameo was pretty badass in that one episode.
