Hey guys.

So I've had Limewire Pro for a couple months now and it's been working perfectly and quickly too, but just recently for some reason, I can't close it. It opens when I turn my computer on, and everytime I close it, 5 minutes later it starts back up again. And even when I don't close it, another one starts up. It's really starting to annoy me and slow my computer down. For example, when I leave my computer on over night for whatever reason, when I wake up and go to my comp there are like 10 Limewire Pro's open.

HELLLPP! =[

Maybe you should just delete the program.

I like how you can either pay them for LimeWire Pro, or download it for free off of regular LimeWire

Haha I downloaded it from regular Limewire.

It was working really good too, fast downloads, good results etc. but I don't know why it's doing this.

Go to your control panel and uninstall it. Limeware is a horrible piece of software, I'd recommend using a different non-buggy piece of crud, like DC++ Soulseek and Bit Torrent.

I'd think you could make it stop coming up on booting by going to msconfig...?

Limewire gets the job done but DC blows every other program out of the water

I agree Limewire isn't very good, but Limewire Pro seemed to work pretty well.

Yea, if you find someone with open slots and a decent connection. 90% of people have 56k and you can only download from one person, which makes downloading unbearable.

Limewire is better.

Torrent is best, but not for 5 mb files like mp3s.

Shoot. I used to know one that did exactly this, and allowed you to see which ones were bad. Lemme do some googling.

Yeah, Norton Anti-Virus, Microsoft Anti-virus and Spyware Doctor =/

You shouldn't run both the anti-virus programs at the same time.

I despise Limewire, it's the most illogical program in existance. "Your search is too specific" what is with that!? And only being able to download three songs at a time... and only being able to download one file of the same name. ARG. It's pretty good for speed and reliability but for the sheer stupidity I might have to go back to Ares.

Search Is Too Specific:

Limewire cant find sa file with the properties you specified, and you can download more than three songs at a time, you just set it to that.

I downloaded pro from the original too.

Just use Soulseek.

With Soulseek you have to wait in huge queues. Limewire is a bit tempremental. I haven't tried DC++ yet though.

Its not hard to get rid of spyware. Get Ad-Aware and CCleaner, and Limewire stops downoading corrupted files anyway.

Pro is a little bit faster, and it does get a few more files in the search...
Regular does do the trick though.

I use Pro.

It's a little better than Basic, but not by much.
