I don't know if this is nessacarily the *right* place for this...but I was wondering what the "best" media player is...and why its so good?

Since I'm fed up with itunes.

Don't really get the question, if you're talking about for music or for videos.

I like Quicktime a lot.

Foobar is good for playing loads of different types of audio files, but it looks kinda ugly. Still good player though.

Winamp is the best media player IMO.

" VLC (initially VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network."
