Hey, if you're reading this you must play ukulele....or you're just interested in seeing what it's all about or whatever...if you do play....awsome....maybe you can help me find some good sites for uke stuff....i recently got a ukulele for christmas.....and i got a book of chords for it as well.....i've searched for some sites for like tabs or sheet music for the uke, and i've only found one worth telling about...it's good if you want to learn some basic chords and it's got a book on the site (it's free, they posted all the pages on there to look through) the site is... http://www.theuke.com/content.php?content.10 ...pretty simple...yeah......but if anyone knows any other sites that are useful for like free sheet music or tabs or whatever just drop a comment or whatever you do on these forums (i'm knew to this forum thing)

I don't know. I remember a few years ago I saw a Ukulele Orchestra or something playing Smells Like Teen Spirit on Jools Holland, complete with singing. It really was one of the most horrible moments of my entire life.

that sounds pretty interesting....personally i think those who play an ethnic instrument should stick with the music that was meant to be played on it....but whatever floats your boat....*~*contemplating to himself*~* nirvana on a ukulele orchestra?....smells like teen disaster to me*~* thanks for the reply anyway...didnt think anyone was gonna share anything with me....oh well...lol...thanks again....ttyl

Oh man,
check this guy out:

watch these videos, his hands move like a machine!!

Incredible stuff.

I play a bit of ukulele myself. I live in Canada but while in Australia I picked up a sweet little electric acoustic 'sanchez' solid top saprano with a nice case; I'm pretty happy with it all.
I'm always trying to find jack jonshon ukulele chords or tabs for anything other than 'breakdown'...something like 'dreams' would be nice. People say you just take the guitar chords but that doesn't always work.

www.chordie.com

If you go on a song with that, you'll on the right hand side there's a dropdown box, saying that's for guitar... if you look at the options, it's got the option for uke (in C or D tuning), whereby it shows you alongside the tab how to play all the chords on a uke. It works, the uke player in my band uses it all the time.

If you play the uke, check out Jake Shimabukuro.

Here's a sample.
