problem with friend's computer

when i try to set his computer to boot from cd, the bios only shows A: and C: in the boot order screen. how do i add D:?

try upgrading the bios. if that doesnt work, his mobo probably doesn't support booting from CD

well, theres no os on the hard drive, thats why i want to boot from cd
