Each drummer is handed a battle axe and thrown in a pit of lions and whoever makes it out is decalred victorious.

If youre talking about the Guitar center drumoff then it somewhat goes like this:

You sign up to enter drumoff before the drumoff starts
you are assigned a day out of 3 days to come in and do a 3 min solo
3 different judges grade you on style, creativity and originality or something like that
on the final day judges recap all that has happened and decide who the winner is then announce the winner.

usually in a drumoff the the two drummers trade solos, whoever is better wins

last year, there were 3 catagories:

0-3 year players
3-5 year players
5-152 year players

everybody would submit a 2-5 minute solo, everybody else would listen to everyone, and vote for their favorite in each catagory.

well mine drumoff is gonna be in music appertian well gonna have a leson on drums and after the test me and my freind are gonna have a drum off but no body else in the room will be drummer execpt for the teacher and he sucks maybe me and the other guy should just get up there and just showcase our skills

most televised drum offs are all staged. theyve practiced the entire thing before. if your gonna hold your own drum off with a friend i suggest you practice your routine as well.
