see, when i try to put a tape in my vcr, it goes in, but then it makes a sqeeling noise. i opened it up, and the left head is not spinning. im not sure how to fix this. any advice?

Loosen it perhaps? What type is it?

i looked there, i tried some stuff, but it still didnet fix it. i just learned that the head is fine, but there is also a high pitched squeeling noise coming from the vcr

get: a new vcr, or with the times and use dvds

its actually my moms and she has like old videocassetes reocorded on birthdays and stuff

Well, IMO VCR's aren't meant to be fixed these days. They are cheap enough for most new. Or on ebay or whatever. Chances are parts and/or labor would cost more then a new player/recorder. Even if you were to fix it yourself it may not be worth the time, effort, or money. You can probably get a new one for $30 or $40 these days.
