So I let my idiot 15 year old brother use my computer and now I have a wonderful AIM Virus that sends this message out to everyone on my buddy list:
DON'T CLICK THE LINK BY THE WAY
"haha look what i found http://home.comcast.net/~stewg1978/09237.pif"
Is anyone familiar with this virus and know where it might be hiding on my system or where I can get a fix for it? I have McAfee and NOD32 and neither program is picking it up.
Yeah, go to http://www.jayloden.com/aimfix.htm and run AIMFix.

I doubt it's a virus, probably just a AIM exploit/command.

System Restore ftw

If not then just ignore it if it isn't doing potential harm to your computer.

Really? Wow, I'm really surprised, since everyone at his mother at my university was stupid enough to get this and that's the program I gave them to get rid of it. You have to download the utility while AIM is running (or not running, I forget which).
You might have to do a System Restore... after you bitchslap your brother.
But still, I'm stunned that AIMFix didn't do anything.

If you click the link, it automatically downloads it onto your computer. At least, that's what it did with mine.
