Okay, I got $400 to spend right now, and it doesn't look like i'm getting more money anytime soon. I have limited the basses I could buy down to these:

Epiphone Goth Thunderbird

Spector Performer 4DLX
Which should I get?

Spector, I'll tell you know it will be almost 100% on that one, but take what feels good to you.

I'd say spector, but that is solely based upon the appearence. I think that other bass looks absolutely retarded. Sorry. :-D
Go the spector.
More versatile.

Yep, write the Epiphone off. That was an easy decision...

Definately the spector, epiphone make bad basses
I played the spector today, and honeslty, i liked my Squire P better. Play them first.
