Update:CHECK SECOND PAGE FOR PICS
Tomorrow I pickup my floor stock Ibanez BTB 400QM, in Honey Sunburst. I tried like 20 basses over the past two months, and for the price imo this is the best.
I got it for $995 AUD, including a free $130 case - so $865 effectively. this means I saved $430 - omg sick.
I'll post pics and a review in a few weeks after it has all sunken in.
Discuss things salesmen will do for some comission.

The salesmen I hate most at music stores are the ones that are new, young and don't have a clue. Like, you walk in there casually to play like a Warwick 6 string Streamer or seomthing expensive like that and they're like, 'I can do a deal on that, y'know, and that amp... its good isnt it?'...
then they keep hounding you until you put it down. Bitches.
The hot ones are the ones the throw in 100 bucks worth of stuff when you buy and ampo or bass. And you acrtaully want the stuff, and the bass.

Dayam... didn't realise there were so many Aussie foo's on this board. The place down the coast does some reasonable deals, though they are non-negotiable. www.guitar.com.au Good to have those figures in mind when negotiating.

I can't go up to the store and tell them my bass is stuffed, unless I fly to melbourne. They said $980 shop copy, but no case. :(
Plus, I'm not going to buy from melbourne for $20 difference.

Haha, the Bass Centre is good. I got that setup today but from Billy Hyde, my bass teacher helped me out and knocked off a few hundred, I payed $1350 for the 411 pro cab (600W) and the 300W head, both Warwick

Nah, 's cool bro. I bought a few guitars off them, but I'm finding if I talk well enough you can get the same prices elsewhere. Plus, the guy who works there that looks like John Cusack is a freakin tool.

Cool, I thought you could of got it from Allans music, the attendants there are the biggest dickheads ever. Academy of Music is pretty good, though i don't go there much because its not on the train line.

And the one I think does the finish justice, in terms of the colour:

I will post clips later. After playing about 30 basses in the last few months, this is one of the more versitile. It has that modern crisp treble, unlike my old P-Bass, and can get Stringray-esque tone to a growly-Jaco(read:crap) Jazz Bass bridge solod tone. Clips later.
Nice man, very nice..
Have fun with that one.

Not very worthwhile in my experience...a while back I tried to get a squier precision special from them, after much screwing around it turned out that they had none in stock, and after even more screwing around it eventuated that they weren't going to order any in. (Probably what i deserve for ordering a squier.)
Then my mate ordered an Musicman SUB through them, once again after screwing around with not having it in stock, it took forever to arrive and when it did, it played like it'd been set up by a three year old, and he had to shell out more dosh to get it profesisionally setup.
Oh and my guitarist buddy got a dodgy Zoom effects unit from them and it took much screwing around with them and a looooooong wait to get it replaced.
However, one thing I will say for them is that their prices are awesome.:smoke:

Musicians Warehouse is owned by the Allan's Music Group, so of course they suck.

Just get the price, print out and go to Billy Hyde. Say match this, and job done. Don't actually order from there.

^Bit late for that with the squier...but I think I'll do that when I finally get my SUB-uppance later in the year :)
