ernie ball supers

I recently bought a pack of ernie ball super slinkys for my bass. I bought the supers(the heaviest gauges) and tehy sound absolutely fabulous.
But after onlt like 5 days i am already noticing a bit of rust on them and that seems awful considring they are brand new... has this happened to anyone else?:confused:
