That is killer, great work.
Definately do the whole kit. I mean come on it's a CB (so's mine, looks so much nicer now it is refinished)!!!!
Make sure you sand it to hell, as it really does show up in the final finish. Take your time!

Damn, unlike some refinishing jobs with fades where they're too abrupt or just not so good, that looks really nice.

Yeah, GREAT fade.
Even in the pics, it looks really nice and "friendly" a colour. Certainly unique, I like it! I always like a custom finished job I see, cos I know I could do nothing LIKE it myself, it always impresses me.
And my dad's a painter...

Awesome job man, the fade looks awesome. Do you know how much it would probably cost you to do a whole kit?

Good work! I think the whole kit would look nice like that. Just be patient as you're doing each drum! Good luck!

your top coat looks spotty, and you should see if you can get the fade to "fade" down a little more towards the center, but that's a great attempt! i couldn't do that lol.

That looks sick man!
could you tell me exactly what kind of paint you used?
I've been thinking of doing my own refinishing on my kit, and was thinking of maybe a orange/reddish fade, but I didn't know what kind of paint to use.

1) I didn't have the reso on cause I really wanted some quick pics and the bottom wasnt completely dry.
2) I know it's a CB, but its pretty old and it sounds a helluva lot better than some other drummers I've seen who don't know how to tune.
3) Not sure what kind of spraypaint it is, but I got it at my local Lowe's store lol.
4) Each can on paint costs about $3, paint thinner $5, sandpaper $10 in all, so im gonna guess its a good $40 to do all the drums, which isnt bad.
5) IM REPRESENTIN KOKOMO INDIANA lol...
ive got the rest of my drums sanded and ill update when i finish them. thanks guys.
