I've had a few goes at arranging happy birthday with some more interesting chords, but seeing as my knowledge of substitutions isn't great, they usually end up either being great at the start, then either repetitive, or losing their fun, OR being grim... I'm sure you can think how happy birthday could be overly grim..
I've heard that there are such things as swing versions of happy birthday, and if someone could reccomend me some versions with interesting chords, it'd be much appreciated, also, if anybody could actually write me down some good sounding possibilites for handling happy birthday.
