As with the person above I only have TFIOTWBTT and should probably get some more of their stuff. My favorite Post-Metal band or whatever you wanna call it, probably....

Pelican is amazing. I saw them with Opeth back in October and was thoroughly impressed. They put on a good live show, and as a result, I picked up all of their releases.
My favorite track is March to the Sea.
Then check out the March Into The Sea EP. They extend the song to 20-21 minutes.
Good band.

I have their latest release; got it for Christmas. It's very good. My favorite track is Autumn Into Summer.
Amazing band. One of my favorites. The Fire in the Throats... is one of my favorite pieces of music I've ever heard.
I've seen them live twice, and both times they were amazing. You have to see them live to appreciate the nuances in their music that makes it extremely unique, especially when compared to other Post Metal acts. They were pretty much on par with Opeth's performance when they opened for them.
Anyway, we've had a few Pelican threads and they never survive long. A shame, really.

Never heard a full song, but I like what I have heard and what I've heard about them.
Pelican is great, inside the progressive sludge genre and the music world in general. They are one of my favorite bands and all their records rock high.

I saw them when they opened up for Opeth, and I was definitely impressed. They seemed to be very down to earth and humble, too...no rockstar mentality or anything like that.

If you can listen to 1 whole song you can appreciate them.

People who are into Pelican have probably already heard Isis and EitS.
Kage introduced me to Pelican. At the time I was kind of hyper so my attention span wasn't the best and it didn't really stick. Later I rechecked them out and was really amazed. I have to be in the mood for them normally, but they make awesome music. I have TFIOTWBTT.
