So Marcus Vick declalred himself eligible for the draft today. Take a risk on him or let him go? I vote 2nd round, first is too high for such a combustible.

No way I spend a first day selection on the guy. He's trouble. If he's around in the 6th or 7th round, I'd draft him, but not before that.

I'd say third pick. If you got a coach that can calm him down, of course. Otherwise, I'd choose the last option.

He's got A LOT of talent, but gets in way too much trouble...
Another year of college probably would've done a lot of good for him...
IDK, I'd say 3rd-5th round, but I know somebody's gonna take a risk and pick him in the first 2 rounds, I'm bettting he'll get picked in the top of the second round...

In sports, thre are assets and liabilities. Frankly, he's too much trouble to be considered an asset. (With my luck, the saints will take him:angry: )

From what I've heard from people I know at VT, he's a bit of a jerk, and a lot of the people on campus think that getting kicked off was good for him.
That said, if Favre retires, Green Bay might have to pick him if they have the chance.

Why take him when they have Rogers?

Ah, well, forgot about him, seeing as he only got like, 3 plays this year.

I'd take him in the 3rd round. But then again, I'd take a sack of potatoes with QB written on it at this point.

Arron Rodgers was a wasted 1st round pick. Last I heard they are sending him to Europe. I don't think they would take Vick with there first round choice. He's definitely not one of the top 3 QBs in the draft. If he is still hangin around in the middle rounds, a team like New Orleans or Green Bay might draft and at least let him try out.

Denver loves to take chances on nut heads (Clarett, having a blank...). But Rodgers a bust? Give the man a little time to develop. Playing behind Brett Farve won't help him physicaly or with his football but Favre probobly helped him on the off-field transition.

Favre said publically in an interview that he feels no obligation to take Radgers under his wing and help him in the NFL. That was right around the time his dad died and his wife got cancer though, so he was probably feeling a little overwhelmed. But still, I think thats his take on the situation. If Green Bay wants to compete next year, they will need to get a QB who can play right now, since I think Favre is going to retire. Green Bay will have a good team once they get Ahman Green and Javon Walker back from injury. I'm not saying Marcus Vick is the guy, but he is defintely more NFL ready coming out of college than Rodgers, having played against far better competition in the ACC.

I agree with you to a point miik. I disagree that Vick is in anyway NFL ready. He's got a TERRIBLE attitude, he's raw and undeveloped, the list goes on. Sure, he played in the ACC, but I could name plenty of quarterbacks who were good in college against good teams that would never be thought to be NFL quarterbacks. Example? Eric Crouch. Played a lot like Vick does, got drafted in the third round or so, had a terrible attitude and didn't want to adjust to what the team needed, and now he isn't playing. I just don't see him doing anything at all.

But if a vetran takes him under his wing and Vick is feuled up to meet his credicts he has the talent. Of course i never meet Vick (or any NFL QB for that matter :upset:) so i don't know wheter he will atually want to play or be like what was already mentioned a 'Eric Crouch'.

Yup you're absolutely right. He could be really good, but it would need to come from him, and he would need a role model, and I just don't personally see that happening. Even in the poll I said I would draft him, but in later rounds as a throw-away pick, when there are so many more consistent players entering the draft.

Eric Crouch was a Heisman Trophy winner who played for Nebraska four or so years ago. He was an extremely athletic quarterback, but was a spoiled cry-baby at the same time. Like I said earlier, he was drafted in the third round as a reciever/safety/special teams player, offered a million-dollar, one year contract, but declined it because he thought he could do better. He couldn't.

Haha, my bad i got him mixed up with someone else. Damn i can't find the name. (hate it when this happens)

He has the talent, but because of his behavior I would say it's safe to say he will go in the 2nd day. He was spoiled as a teen because of Micheal and he blew his career because of it. Mike Vick had to go through some tough **** to make it where he is today

Still look at the talent! Aww but i guess when a 20 or something year old gets a big head i don't think it's going to change because he now gets paid 2 million a year.

Marcus Vick just about screwed up his career now. He assaulted some teenagers with a firearm in a parking lot. I don't know the details but it was on the ESPN ticker.

i don't want the eagles to touch him with a ten foot pole.
if i was the GM of a bad team I might be inclined to grab him starting in the fourth round

I dont think any team in their right mind would take this kid, especially after the "three counts of firearm brandishing" the other night. Thankfully I know that my Pats would never take this guy, nor would we need to with Brady.

in the prison football games. Longest Yard style.

He has shown a repeated pattern of disreguard for laws not to mention team rules...
If he can't handle college football... How will he be able to handle to NFL and all it's pressue.
Getting arrested for brandishing a firearm will drive down his already hurt draft stock.

If Davis doesn;t get a QB in the first 5 rounds don't expect him to slip away.

I pick him, but on the second day. He's a big risk, but I guarantee someone will take the chance on him the first day. Like Clarett last year.

3rd round. I wouldn't waste my first round picks on him but he could make a good pickup if nobody picks him up by the 3rd round.
