So this year Blondie is being added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This got me thinking, what present/recent bands will be added in the future. So what are your predictions?

My guess would be a lot of early 90s bands but after that I'm stumped

You know, it's hard to say, Krash. The criteria is your first record had to be put out at least 25 years before your induction and somehow your music, whether 1 album or 20, had to make a significant and lasting impact on R n R. Record sales and popularity are not supposed to play a part. Although of course many popular bands get in, obscure ones do, too.

So who is on track right now? Hard to say? I can look back a little and say Nirvana will be there. Metallica, too. Pearl Jam, as they are still kicking and have influenced many artist. The Pixies and The Replacements, too. Hopefully the Replacements.

I would love to see X get in. They have two albums on Rolling Stones top 500 albums of all time and two other bonifide classics under there belt, but that may not be enough. We'll see.

So far as more recent bands? It's far too early to tell, I think. Holding up for 25 years is a long time.

Black Sabbath, hopefully.
Didn't they get in this last time around? Or this time coming up? I think the induction is this month.

John Mellencamp got passed over his first time up for this year. Made me do a big WTF?

I'd say a long time from now,SOAD.
There a really good and popular band.
And John Dolmayans drumming is very influential on new drummers from what i've seen/heard.
That's just my opinion anyway.

And Nirvana will deffinately be there.Out of popularity my guess.
And im happy blondie is getting added :)
