View Full Version : New Setup

I ordered some rack pieces with money from relatives, and it inspired me to try a new setup. I bought a little bridge extension thing, and a left side. Unfortunately, the left side needs another foot, so I haven't put it up yet. The main hats are more far away now, but thats ok because I'm now mainly playing them with the left hand.
...Enjoy.

Man you've got a ****load of cymbals. Setup looks great! Looks kinda spread out from the front, especially the left side (from driver's seat). Can you reach all those cymbals OK?

The left side is a little bit spread out, but the hihat is still accessible with both hands, and I mostly play that side exclusively with my left hand. The cymbals are pretty reachable, fairly close, even though they don't look like it.
Get some audio/Video up! what is that above your floor toms? looks like a sawblade? Oh, I just made a recording, it'l be up soon. Oh and yeah, thats a 10" Oldham sawblade.
Man, that thing is a monster, one day I hope to have a setup like that, one day.
hah, thanks man, I'm sure you'l be able to get it.

lookin really nice :thumb:

it looks like the rack is too big for the kit tho. quite a bit of space between the rack and floortoms.

yeah, haha, it sounds GREAT for the price, I mean, I could record with it, but I'd rather not spend more money on it when I could get better. Also, swingstar bassed are 22x18 now, my bass is 22x16.

i love double bass kits, they are so great. i'm gonna use a double bass kit, even though most drummers in scremo bands just use single bass. i could be one of the first in Mass. to use 2 bass drums in a local scremo band, that would be cool

Yeah, totally, these drums sound pretty good actually when tuned right, but you can never tune a cymbal.

Yeah, the 7 1/4" is more of an accent, and the 10" I use as a weird sounding ride cymbal.
