hey have u seen that john bonham ludwig set they sell with the clear orange shells. how doe's it work if the shells are plastic. wouldnt it sound like crap.

pretty sure it is acrylic.

Yes. It works just like any great kit with one mounted tom and two real big floor toms. The shells are acrylic. It sounds so boomy it would prolly' make you crap your underoos sonny.
What you should do is download about 20 classic Zep tunes and listen and learn.

Just watch the Led Zeppelin DVD, or The Song Remains the Same DVD. His drums sound great on both.

actually they sound pretty good but the bassdrums have a bad habit of breaking. Bonham NEVER used them in the studio tho so that should tell you something. IMO: stay away from them.

Also his studio stuff was recorded with a ludwig green sparkle kit. All coated heads and to top it off the Bass was lined with Tinfoil to enhance the thunderous sound he produced. The two kits are really similar in sound especially with the skins and like pitches he used.

and in 1977 to 1979 Jeff Ocheltrree was his drum tech......and the green sparkle kit that john used was a 1972 kit. Srry i know so much about john:smash:

ok we are not playing halo so need to use the work noob. i have heard classic zep tunes i have the how the west wast won and mobie dick did make me crap my underoos sony. i just never new anything about that kit.

Well I have a Zep Set and ive had it for a long time. I havent had a problem yet.
