A Love Supreme book

im just done reading "A love Supreme" by Ashley Kahn, the same guy who did the one on Kind of Blue.
I suggest you guys read it. if Trane's suite moved you in any way, you'll find that the book sheds light on the whole way the song was recorded and how it is the product of a combiantion of persons, places and time. it really helped me enjoy the music, and i can understand it and feel it better.
so if you have the chance read it, its worth the while.

I checked it out from my library, it's really good.

One thing that especially sticks in my mind is how they mentioned that when the quartet played live, they would play with so much energy that Elvin literally would have to ring the sweat out of his pants at intermission. That is INSANE.

I just finished reading Ascension... a great book on Coltrane's music.

Haven't read that one though.
