I dont know about surf bands, just listen to any dick dale you can get your hands on, he's the hands down master of surf.

^I thought they were punk :confused: Maybe, since they were in the time of Dead Kennedys (who used surf in their music) they were inspired to learn surf and mix it with punk

I would call them surf punk. They have done some awesome covers of old surf hits.

Agent Orange is punk with surf influences.

Another rock band with surf influences are the Pixies.

Beach Boys are great surf pop.

And for raw surf guitar, Dick Dale and maybe Link Wray for the win.
