i always thought guns n roses was just a clever oxymoron, u no. apparently not tho. the 'roses' is from axl rose, ah cors, the infamous vocalist...and the 'guns' is from the former guitarist, tracii guns (yeah, manly name indeed). so THATs where the guns n roses name came from. and even after slash traded places with tracii guns, i guess the name was so cool that it stuck... :thumb:

Thats what the album is, that's what were talking about. what the **** are you talking about?
And if he wasn't interested in selling albums, he could get rid of the name.
There is no reason to keep the name, other than it was one of the bigger bands of the 80's and early 90's.
Anticipation, if it just came out with little fanfare, it wouldn't sell so much.
If you can find something that says otherwise, fine, I'm wrong, but i don't see that hapening.

Dowload the song my world and you'll know what im talking about.

He keeps the name because he hasn't left the band yet.

Yes, albums that aren't promoted don't sell vey well.

What he said, even though that was from Use Your Illusion II , that's the direction he wanted the band to go in. And that's the direction he's taking this band.

You listened to it, now compare it to paradise city, or 14 years. It's a completely different sound, and while it's credited to the band, Axl is the only one who worked on that song.

thanks

Well, it's not so much his musical capabilities, so much as his voice, which while it can be seen as a positive attribute, becuase its rather unique, it can get iratating(sp?), I actually, like Izzy's voice, but thats irrelevant. And it was becuase he was so hard to work with, with trying to change the band, and take control, it was his fault, in part that the band fell apart. He can also just be a dick.

And by the way, I never really thought of axl as the last member, I just figured the band fell apart, and that was that.I guess I was wrong.

And, if you have limewire, you can download some of the songs, and well, there deffinetly not the GnR I rememeber, wether that good or bad, is personal oppinion.
