Is this a 'real' Real book? Ie, the original? Or the published version?

Either way, cheers!

ya i know its really stealing from the people who made the real book. but the people who made the real book did it illegally in the first place if im not mistaken. plus not everyone can afford a few 50 dollar books.

nah its cool... the idea of a real book is to share the music. the artists don't get any royalties from real books, and id say its the publishers that get most of the profit from these.

should we ban musicians from having ears just in case they copy music, by ear, from a record?

The idea of "sharing" music disgusts me. But for real books, what the hell. These artists do get some money I'm sure. They were at least asked for permission. In fact, I'm sure a lot of them owned copies of Real books too.

Do you mean St. Thomas?

I don't understand why people can be so against buying albums. And based on your logic, it's okay to break into concerts and watch the band for free.

nah i mean st james infirmary
ever heard it?
its fly about syphilis or something haha

im against money as a whole AS IS(survival/economic control) personally thats my thing against it
haha
now just the idea of exchange for song/art for something else by the listener
isnt neccesarily what im against just take that individually
im against money as is really
and using art to support that is sad:( and its hard for me to get past the as is and work from there
id much rather just share my music
and if you wanna be greedy about it regardless of money as is or expect something in return keep it to/in yourself
dont create
once you create its out there for all part of the whole
haha but its u
nderstandable cos its neccesary for survival to use their money as is
:(

and yeah i looked at the jazz one in pdf and like it had st thomas thats not the same as st james infirmary blues?
that im aware of
is it?
