This kind of thread has been done lots of time on this forum and It is now against the rules, as it just turns into a huge flamefest. Before you make a thread be sure to check the rules first, threads like this can get in the way somewhat. Sorry for being a pain in the ***, but that's just the way the forum works. Besides, this section of the forum is for discussing rock/metal music not guitarists.

if someone was to make a "Top 100 guitarrists of all time" thread, would that be ok? it'd be exactly like the vocalist one. i'd be interested in seeing guitarrists other than hendrix, page and the like.
