"Hey man don't you think your bass isn't punk enough?"

"What dya mean?"

"Well look at it it aint very punk you should punk it up"

"But it's an awesome bass why does it need punking up?"

"Hey man if you wanna fit in you better punk that up or else"

"How then?"

"Stick on a scratch plate, I mean it just asks for it"

"But there's nowhere to put it!!!"

"I got some glue... and you DO wanna fit in don't you?"

"Yeah *sniff*.... but it's a Warwick"

"*glare* DO IT"

That MUST have been how the conversation went for someone to do THIS:

Nah, I'm kidding...it's all preference. You may argue Warwicks are overpriced, but you can't say they're not high-quality instruments.

They can be high-quality and tacky at the same time, right?

And don't you diss the 'Ray!! I mean, you're beloved brand has even tried to copy the 'Ray tone (one humbucker Thumb, Fortress One, etc.). :'(

Actually, in one of my old Warwick catalogs there's a model called the Fortress Flashback which came stock with a very similar pickgaurd and lipstick pickups. Looks pretty snazzy. :thumb:

It's hideous.....

I love it!

When I get my Warwick, that's the first thing I'm gonna do to it. Then I'm gonna paint it black and put a P-Bass neck on it. Then sticker it up to the sh*tter. Then smash it on stage. I love Warwicks.

One band I was in wanted to paint my 3 colour sunurst jazz in camoflauge with skull and crossbone tuners because I didn't look punk enough.

I quit shortly after.

Depends where abouts in North East Victoria do you live?
Do you like bands that think about recording a cd/make merchandise before playing a decent show?
Do you like egomaniac guitarists who can't sing but do anyway so the focus is on them?
Do you like being told what to play?

Criss Frantic
01-05-2006, 06:24 AM
Hmm ok on second thoughts, I'll just stick with my own band which is the exact antithesis of what you just said. I just wanted the camo j-bass with skull and crossbone tuners.

I saw the same story on a dutch auction site. The owner is getting rid of his bass because it looks too grown-up and now he wants something less grown-up because he likes punk and ska. He should have thought of that before he stuck the plate on it.

I'm a Packers fan myself. Kind of a bummer what they did to Sherman. I think it has something to do with getting rid of Favre - you can't get rid of, or bench, a legend.
