oh boy, i can see the flames comming from a mile away...
K, its almost standart that a Heavy Metal Band starts to suck after its 4/5th Album, OR when they start using a different Guitar tuning.
And after the 6th Album, the Band usually stops, because they've reached the point where their music sounds nothing like it used too...
it was ok...wasn't too impressed...

i saw them when they were touring with rob zombie for the follow the leader album. rob zombie's show totally blew them out of the water. they rock, but rob Zombie rocks like 10 times harder and has better stage presance. he actually puts on a show, while they stood around.

If no one is talking about it then it means it's not worth the discussion.

They kind of remind me of the once great athlete who continues to play long after his or her peak time. You respect them for what they accomplished early on but.......the time has come to step away from it.

Their new video is one of the best I've ever seen. It's awesome.
But it's probably their worst song.

As you can see the discussion in this thread is flowing nicely!
I've only heard a few songs from it and I wasn't impressed to be honest.. but then again I guess I already had a low opinion of the band :)

No thats not bad, I love the taste of vodka, and I would be pis.sed to if someone waste over a liter of vodka on a cut....I dunno I might let it get infected.
Speaking of which, one of my roommates is Iranian, and he won't drinking anything but vodka shots with a little bit of lime juice. We both pretty much just chill and do that, then go play halo.
Probably what is worse for me is I mix alot of pills when I drink...
Naveed Afzal
01-04-2006, 03:58 AM

No, but my g/f does. I stick to Halo 2, she sticks to socom. we fued about it alot. I play alot of Runescape too....dunno if you know what that is. but halo 2 and runescape are big at my college.
From what I've heard, Iranian drink alot, his friend died from it actually and he wanted to quit at one point...He outdrinks me by far. He wanted to learn bass/guitar so I tried to show him some SOAD since he likes them, but he has horrible coordation, but he can throw punches when hes drunk lol.

Nu-metal is dead
but yet Korn still try to keep it goin

They're not trying to keep NuMetal alive. They're trying to keep making music. If it happens to be NuMetal? Meh.
Latest album is their worst so far IMO. On the whole, better than Untouchables, but Untouchables has some standout songs such as Thoughtless, which this one doesn't.
Meh. Get Korn by all means, but get old CDs when they were better. Issues FTW.

Iron Maiden are still good, the odd disappiontment but they still rock. And Load and ReLoad were good albums, different but still kicked arse so not ALL heavy metal bands suck after the 5th album. But I can see where your coming from.

standout songs such as Thoughtless
That was an atrocious song, it had that terrible scat breakdown, where Jon basically proved he has no aggression left in his voice, Its pathetic.
Listen to "Twist", thats his scat at its most raw, really aggressive stuff, cool to listen to aswell, he is screaming like an animal, and its an impressive display of his emotions, like his scat breakdowns were, he was just screaming his anger out in the vocal booth. The Scat in Thoughtless was atrocious it was so forced and fake, as were the lyrics and the Riff.
"Good God" and "Got the life" ftw.

Yeah, but I still prefer his screaming in Twist and Good God. He was clearly very angry then, now, in his mansion, with Millions of Dollars and a Pr0n star wife, I suppose he has nothing to worry about, but still fakes anger.

I hadn't listened to Good God in a long time. I did it just now when you mentioned it, and wow starting at 2:26 I never realised how much he pushes his voice there. Good stuff that old Korn.

when i was younger i liked his bass work immensely, mainly because he was one of the only bassists you really heard in metal and he was doing something different (to my ears anyway)
the new stuff is repetative and a bit mundane imo
