I think he's a genius. He writes such great songs and is one of the best guitar players today.

Does anyone else love this guy?

I've heard his "Will to Death" album. It's pretty good all the songs are similar but very good. He is excellent at writing mellow chill out songs that are quite complex and clever.

Frusciante cetainly shows that you don't have to be fast or tehnical to be talented. He's the reason I picked up guitar. Even though I lsten to alot more metal these days I will always be a fan of John.

The Will To Death is a great album but it isn't his best.

I really like Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt
Inside of Emptiness
To Record Only Water For Ten Days

Those are my top three John albums for the moment.

I'm not really obsessed with him like I used to be, but he's still pretty great.

Hes one of my favorite guitarists. He's got a huge part in the new Mars Volta album so I hope thatll do them some good.

Oh, you.

I love his music. It seems really personal.

I've been listening to Curtains lately, and it's become one of my new favorite albums.

"Ascension" is my favorite song by him.

No, I do like him. I really do. I just feel like there are way too many John Frusciante threads for the quality of his solo music, especially compared to the number of RHCP threads, since I think his best work is with the band, anyway.

Meh, I didn't get the hype.

I got Shadows Collide With People not too long ago after hearing people go on and on about him. I'll admit, he's good. I liked the CD, but it just got really boring at parts and I just haven't had the enthusiasm to listen to it in a while.

I suppose I'll give him a fair chance and check out some of his other works as well.

I love his solo work, from Curtains to Shadows Collide With People. Musically, John, Flea, and Tim Commerford are my idols.

I've been hoping to get 1 of his releases lately. Which ep would you say is the most weirdest/experimental, because this is more the kind of thing im into at the moment.

"A Sphere in the Heart of Silence" and "To Record Only Water for Ten Days" are 2 of the more obscure albums

I would hardly say trowftd is obscure or experimental.

Probably so... I never got that album, but I read a review that said it was his weirdest yet.

He has a unique style so I can't compare him to others.

It's blinding, crazy experimental electronica, with regular instruments put in using synths to warp them all over the place, it's good to hear completely non-conventional setups in songs (2 guitars, 2 basses, drum machine and synth and vocals).

Of course, if you're looking for a more band-style experimental sound, look at the album he did as Ataxia, which is also awesome (and I eagerly await the second half of those sessions.)

All I have is When Shaddows Collide With People and Will to Death. Anyone recommend some others? I think I'll be heading to a cd store in a bit.

Curtains is my favorite by him.

A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence is good, but gets weird in some bits, especially Walls.

He's my favourate artist right now, just amazing.

I love curtains and shadows collide. My favourate songs have to be "time tonite", "carvel", "regret", "going inside" and "ricky"

Curtains is my favorite I wasn't aware that Omar from ATDI and MV played on "Lever Pulls" till awhile ago. I like almost all his solo albums except the ones he made for drug money (Smile from the Streets...) The Will to Death is probably my second favorite.

Kayetan

Smile from the Streets You Hold wasn't made for drug money. The songs already existed. They were just put on an album and released for money. That album can be pretty amazing at times.

Every one of those songs are GREAT. Have you heard Inside of Emptiness? If you haven't than you need to, because there are characteristics of all of those songs on that album
