Okay, there's the list. If you've got any last minute nominations or problems, say them now. The old list can be found here (http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=300648); make sure nothing was left off that you guys would like to see on there (Cave-In? Turmoil? Martyr A.D?). As you can see the list is a bit large so I ask those who nominated to remember that this list is for the best of the best. If you nominated something just because you were listening to it at the time or just think it's a pretty good album, please don't hesistate to retract your nominations. Anyway, this thread is your last chance to make changes. Genre experts, don't hesistate to make removals (I tried to keep tech metal like #12 and DEP off).

Put Turmoil - The Process Of... on.

Let's Chop Cats!
01-01-2006, 09:23 PM
Chris take Underoath off that list before I find your a'ss and kill you.

Earth Crisis are hardcore, but since you people on this forum suck I'll let it slide this time. Same with Hatebreed.

Add Cave In - Untill Your Heart Stops

I don't think EC are metalcore either, but I knew they'd be accepted so I put it up.

I think they're hardcore. That makes three of us. I'll take them off the list if you guys want.

oopyman
01-01-2006, 09:32 PM
Nah just leave em.

I think Integrity, 100 Demons, and Unbroken are hardcore too but I'm probably the only one.

Let's Chop Cats!
01-01-2006, 09:33 PM
Nah 100 Demons are deff metalcore, they just play with a lot of hardcore bands.

oopyman
01-01-2006, 09:34 PM
What do you think about Unbroken and Integrity? And Ringworm? If you count Ringworm then add Ringworm - The Promise and Ringworm - Justice Replaced by Revenge.

Let's Chop Cats!
01-01-2006, 09:44 PM
I'm not big on Ringworm, I'd put them somewhere between Crossover and Metalcore.

Unbroken I don't listen to and Integrity I would put somewhere close to Ringworm, I'm not a Integrity fan though so don't quote me.

cbmartinez
01-01-2006, 09:46 PM
Pretty sure Ringworm are considered metalcore. I'll add them.

Eh, it's really on the metal side, maybe even grind, but I think it should be added because it's generally metalcore, and it's such an incredible album.

oopyman
01-02-2006, 08:48 PM
Dom, listen to **** other than Firestorm. The entire Gomorroh's Season Ends album has tons of weird metallic riffs and what not. The Promise are like melodic hardcore.

surely last night in town is a much better example of metalcore over hot damn! i take it your also trying to avoid 'scene' bands because there are a **** loads missing, like darkest hour, bury your dead, scars of tomorrow and all that shite, maybe not good examples of metalcore, but metalcore none the less
