Well to get it all done I had to turn my DW 5000 Double Pedal into 2 singles...I didn't know you could till I tried so now I'll practice for awhile on my single pedal skills and work on my high hat pedal. I found a great carpet outlet that will sell remnants and what not for dirt cheap so I can carpet the walls and floors... Don't have any recording equip up yet but Im working on it + I'm on less than 56k so that pretty much bloes chodes.

Again sry for the shatty pics its all i can do right now but it sure looks beautiful on my end...
Ok specs>
The dark kit is my Mapex Orion Series Classic with 14'' matching Black Panther maple snare, DW 8'' piccalo tom and 10'',12'' and 14'' toms (16" is on teh percussion rig),a 10'' aux Black Panther snare and 22'' bass drum. DW 5000 single pedal and DW 5000 remote high hat pedal used as main. And of course the entire Sabian Paragon cymbal set. I'm using the DRUM FRAME thing which basically allow the whole throne and kit to be tilted at an angle to allow for more relaxed playing.
The smaller kit is the DW collectors kit with 10'' 12'' and 14'' toms and 22'' bass. The snare is another Black panther 13'' steel snare and a DW 5000 single pedal and iron cobra high hat pedal. Cymbals are Paistes...14'' sound edge hats, 18'' 2002 crash and 18'' 2002 power crash and 20'' dry heavy ride.
the percussion rig is 2 remo bongos, tama otobans high and low set, a djembe, cowbell, triangle and a gong. cymbals are 8'' zil bell, sabian 8/10 max stax, Paiste 12 thin china, 8'' paiste sig splash and sabain 17'' effects crash and 16'' ozone crash.:smoke:
I also have my Roland V-drum kit that will make it 4 kits up.

Lets just say I made some smart investments when I came into some cash. Not that I never have to work but I have most of my time off. Don't have my recording rig up yet but I fixed the little korg hand held 4 track recorder I thought was busted for good, I'll try to muster something up.

Now i am going to have to kill u:angry: :smash:
Is that a gong behind the tom on the percussion rig?
By the way, I just played percussion in a christmas concert and we borrowed some professional congas, and I think they're the same ones (couldn't tell you details on them)
But all I had was them two congas, a single downtuned bongo, a cowbell and tambourine.
It was ok but that thing just looks so fun!

^^^ Its not unpacked yet, I will prolly use it as the main snare with my DW kit and use the Mapex BP 13'' steel for aux after I purchase another snare stand. I've been jamming with my MP3 player and shures e2's alot and its so awesome now when I need a big kit I play the Mapex(Tool, DT ,SOAD), for more chill stuff(Floyd, Dredg, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and Jim Croce hehe) its the DW. Its so nice to stand up walk 4 feet and sit down at another kit BTW, and of course the percussion rig is great for just improving over stuff like the blue man group and pretty much everything.

hey matt, ytse jam??? i couldn't really do the keyboard solo, but I could fudge something. Either that or give Universal Mind another try. Don't know if i could handle teh insane solos on that one. could fake it though.
btw sorry couldn't chat tonight, got sent to ft walton. I ended up going about a block from Leitz music where ya got that jpmm. I'll try to get minutes for my phone tomorrow.

Actually I believe Aenema is prolly one of the hardest songs from the drum point of view...I'd rather try Ytse Jam or Universal Mind from LTE. Hey Markus aka Rounder I'm going to drag the recording gear down to the basement today...oh so heavy... and get that going in about a week..I'm going to hook up the 16 channel Mackie first (loni has the 24-8 mackie reciept) and see how it sounds and maybe send in the 24-8 one to get fixed if I can get good soundsn from the 16. Hopefully I will have DSL by then.

you've totally gotta invite a drummer friend over your place and jam together on the two kits.
...and record (video!!!) every bit of it so fools like myself can drool over it. :)

Um.. get the Akira Jimbo... the Beech shell is Amazing...the ghost notes are immaculate and wood rims help keep the snare sounding warm even with the 13'' snare size and its awesome solid crack sound.

cool matt. I hope there is a guitar store there and that you get proper patch cables for the main insert. However, I recommend getting XLR cables, (Mic type) for the patch cables, rather than guitar style patch cables. There is a difference in sound. I would try also maybe taking the eq out of the insert loop (it should already be from when I was using it on guitar) and use it solely for either the snare or bass drum. and please start using cubase. I know you like using audacity but I have cubase and it will be much easier to do this long distance wise if we are using the same prog.
Yea either ytse jam or Uni Mind sounds cool. Hit me up on xfire tonight.
