Ok so it being the New Year, I decided to write a song about it. Here it is, Enjoy! And I will critique yours if you leave a link.

Same Old New Year

verse 1:

It's the new year baby
so let's start it out right
we'll forget all our problems
and let the sparks ignite

verse 2:

Let's write a new chapter
tear out a page or two
replace them with new ones
cause this year, it's only me and you

chorus:

There's many things I've done I shouldn't
And many that I should have done
This year not breaking your heart
Is my resolution.

Repeat on last time of chorus: (not breaking your heart is my resolution)

So I think I need to lengthen it, any suggestions?

I like the first verse, no problems with it. The second does though. Adding 'only me and you' to the last line squeezes a whole bunch of syllables into a small parameter and it messes up your flow. So unless you can sing that really really fast, I suggest you change it. I like the chorus, but I don't think you need to lengthen it. It could be a fun little song.

Thanks. Yeah, I can sing that fast, so I don't think it should be much of an issue.
