View Full Version : Blackalicious
I know this is a rap duo, but its pretty underground. I just bought this cd, and I am in amazement. Im not to big into rap, the only people I like is Saul Williams off of FaderLable, and K-OS who is off of Asralwerks. But I want to know what anyone else thinks. And like I said, I know this is the Indie forums, but this cd is really good. I figured if this cd caught my ear, I want to to know what everyone else thinks.

I just got The Craft but I haven't had the chance to give it a good listen. I'll probably listen to it on my drive to Charlotte later in the week. But from the few songs I heard, I'd say it's above average, at least, compared to the mainstream rap that's playing.

I like The Craft more than Blazing Arrow.
Which CD? Blazing Arrow is one of my favourite albums of the decade so far, and is possibly my favourite hip-hop CD. The Craft wasn't as good, but only really suffered in comparison to Blazing Arrow. As an individual album it was still pretty good. The Gift of Gab is a frighteningly fast rapper, but he never loses anything in terms of how his lyrics flow because of that.
Its the Craft, sorry.

I love the Craft, but you should look into getting Blazing Arrow. It's one of my favorite albums, period.

You might like some Def Jux artists like Aesop Rock, RJD2, El-P, and Cannibal Ox.

Blazing Arrow is one of the best. For some reason I always find used copies of it around. Silly people. What is even more ridiculous is I can't convince any of my friends to buy an $8 copy of it. Next time I see one, I'm just going to buy it for whoever I'm with.
I am an Indie kid
yeah ok then
I've got Blazing Arrow in my CD player right now.
