Who here has read these books? I just finished book 12, The Peniultimate Peril, and I was very pleased. It is a great series, with all of the books being very well done. Lemony Snicket has a very distinct style of writing, and it works well with the story. Discuss anything about the series, including books, movies, and anything else about them. Enjoy :thumb:

I've never read any of the books. I saw the movie, and thought it was quite good, but I don't know if it compares in any way.

I liked the movie, and my mom's a big fan of the books as well. I was just dismayed that the Aflack duck was in there.

I thought the movie sucked, then again, I'm not 8 years old.

The movie was kinda lame. I love the animatio at the end.:thumb: I started reading them around 4 years ago. About a year after i started they became popular. Im on the 12 th right now.

I was sort of impressed with teh movie. They jumbled up teh order of things a little, but it was still good.

I was watching the movie with my little sister at my mums house the other day.

The books are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the movie, even with Jim Carrey as Olaf. I finished the Penultimate Peril in a day, I loved it. I love the entire series. Anybody every read the Unauthorized Autobiography? It's fantastic.

i read up to the 8th. i enjoyed them thuroughly, but i stopped reading them for some reason. i would re-read them to refrsh my memory, but im reading TLOTR series right now. so maybe some other time.

Yeah, I'm just reading book twelve now. I'm reading it more because I want to finish the series rather than I actually like them.
