changing aim icon/sounds

How do you get a different icon other than the ones aol already has? I hate the selection. They have icons on websites & stuff but i don't know where to save it or anything..

A lot of websites are set up so that you can just click the icon you want and it gets sent to your AIM. Or you can save one, and upload it yourself, but it has to be really small. I think it's something like 45 x 45 pixels. As for sounds, you're pretty much stuck with what you have unless you pay for extras or you have AOL.

To change your buddy icon:

In the AIM Buddy List, My AIM > Edit Options > Edit Preferences, click "Expressions", then you can browse your PC for an icon.

In that same menu, click the "IM sounds" buttons to change which sounds play when.
