Apollo Sunshine is probably one of my favorite bands, they're definatley getting pretty big (they were like #5 on amazon's best seller list) I knew them before they started their huge tour, anyone else like them?

I bought Katonah because the little sticker on the CD said they sounded like XTC with a dash of Apples in Stereo or something to that effect. Sounded interesting but it didn't do anything for me, save for maybe one or two songs. I haven't bothered with their new one.

I bought Katonah last winter, even though I had been looking for it for awhile. I really love that album. It was definately one of my favorites from last year. I've heard some samples of their new songs. They sound pretty good, but I don't really plan on buying the new album. Good band though.

Weird story...

Ok...

I live in Houston, Tx. In 7th grade, my sex ed teacher mentioned she had a son in a band called Apollo Sunshine. I didn't pay it any mind. However, this year, 4 years later, I heard of them again. Being much less naive about the indie scene, I decided to check them out. This summer, I bought their album in VT. It's good and the instruments and effects rock, but the lyrics are pretty bad. Weird story though.

Every pretentionous, holier than thou, indie girl I know listens to this band almost religiously. I can't find what is so great about them.
