Just how bad is Last Call with Carson Daly

This show blows. Everyone blue moon he'll have a decent guest, and a decent guest band. But I dont see how he made it this many seasons! I dont have cable cause I dont watch much t.v.,so my viewing is limited. But he really needs some new writers bad.

Discuss this sucky show or any other. Or just flame the thread to death. I just had to vent.

We have this thing one of my friends came up with. It's called the Carson Daly effect. Basically, the premise is, some can be unfunny just because "that" person said it. You know what I mean.

Yeah, like if Conan said any of Carson's jokes, he would get a laugh. But his jokes aren't funny because it's Carson and he's not funny.

Fun Fact: The producers pay each audience member $14 to sit through a whole show of Carson Daly.

Yeah his stuff is kind of getting old and tired. Seriously, it's the same exact thing every night. It's probably because it's a different audience every night and even though they've probably all seen it on TV a million times, it's funnier in person. You know how it is, like when you're sitting alone and watching something funny, you probably won't laugh, but if you're watching something funny with a bunch of buddies, you laugh at every little tiny thing.

Ive seen the carson show, man it does suck. I check to see if thers a good band now and then but i dont watch it really. I think ive only watched the show 2 times all the way through and it was terrible. I think the audience just goes to see the band.

Really? I only know the guy from MTV. I thought his little late night show would be history by now. Never seen it. I just posted this thread because Liberi closed it in the Pit for being posted in the wrong forum. I thought that was mean. :angry:

He's okay but I rather have Conan, despite his overdone monologue. The best talk show now is Letterman. It has wit, charm, good sketches (except for the ones with the audiences, those suck) and Letterman's good with his guests.

That guy who does the music really bothers me though. I did, however, love the famous Crispin Glover clip from Letterman.

Yeah, Letterman's definately the best. His is the only show I watch the whole way through
