ok guys, im actually using photoshop touching photos up and all, and i do have a pretty good quality printer, and i have win xp and photoshop 7.0
i have the pictures pretty much finnished, but printing them is the problem. i have changed the size and the printing area, but i keep getting a border around the sides and bottom of the photo.
in hope of fixing the problem, i have reset the defualts on both the printer and photoshop, but i am still getting problems.
any ideas?

Are you changing the canvas size or the image size? They arent the same.

All printers will do this unless they are border less printers.

Hmm. Try saving the photos as jpegs and then use the print wizard from windows xp (I am assuming that is what you are using). Tell me what happens then.

A border? By that, do you mean an area where ink is not printed?
This is what happens with ALL printers. Unlike what you might see in commercials on TV, the printer CANNOT print to the edges of the paper. In print design work, we ALWAYS keep a quarter inch border around the edges and if we want it to run to the edges, we take an exacto knife to the edges and slice 'em out.

Image size is the size of any images on it.
Canvas size is the actual paper size.
Change the canvas size, not image, it shouldnt leave borders then. I dunno, it dosnt at college.
