Gear advice thread

I think a thread for advice on the purchase of gear is needed.
I'll start!

I'm looking for a chorus pedal for bass. I want something that will NOT kill my lows, but I also would like to spend under 100 if possible. I like boss, and read some harmony central reviews but I saw one review that gave 1s and 2s, and otherwise the reviews were decent. I just need some more opinions. Also, looking for a delay/loop pedal as well. Any recomendations would be nice!

i absolutly love the Small Clone by electro harmonix for chorus... tho i roll off most of my low end... so... erm?
