Im going to be getting a PSP within the next 2 -3 weeks, and since I dont know too too much about it, I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

Is there anything in particular that I should look into getting (ie. games, extra memory, casings) or anything that I should stay away from?

From what I know from reviews and my friends who own PSP's, it seems pretty good. I was just checking in with a larger body of opinions for anything I should watch out for.

If you guys would hit me with some info' that would be dope. Thanks :)

You shouldnt really need anything other than the games/movies youre interested in for it.

well, i would definetly recommend extra memory, the one that comes with it is 32 mb i belive, and id keep that pretty much for just saved games, and to update your psp version to 2.60 wich takes 18 mb. Getting your extra memory will allow you to have plenty of space for mp3s, pictures, and videos if you get a big enough stick. As for games, all depends on what kind of games you like, same with movies for that matter. Casings, well i would definetly look into getting a hard case, thats alot of money your going to be carrying around, and possibly a screen protector. I just got my psp for christmas and i love it, its amazing.

Why? Because you don't want to get up and go to the other room and use the computer? :amaze:

No actually, because my wireless internet is strong enough to work down at the park by my house. Its nice when im down there watching my brother and sister and i get bored. But also because im not the only one that uses the computer i have access to, i have 2 brothers and a sister that use it also. pretty much..go **** yourself.

Ha ha, I had the same problem, untill I got my own PC. I would take my bro's PSP, and browse with it as well. (I still do b/c I dont want to go upstairs...)

If you're getting a psp, make sure you buy Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. You won't regret getting the best game so far.

Definetly, GTA looks great...its a shame i dont like the series. Im waiting for Grand Turismo 4 to come out in march. And i just ordered SOCOM: fire team bravo, it looks great, and is supposed to be amazing online, lets hope so.

Socom FTB online is an amazing game. No questions asked :D Also Infected is a really good game :D Its just that at the moment the multiplayer isn't too stable but the singleplayer is really great.

Its alright. If your into single player try Infected. The single player on Socom games pale in comparison to the multiplayer ;)

since in lost my first PSP and five games, I felt the need to ask for one for Christmas.

SOCOM is by far the best game out right now. The online multiplayer is amazing, but contrary to popular belief, the 1p mode is VERY good.

GTA is extrememly fun. I actually prefered LCS to SA and Vice City myself. The missions are unique, and dont seem "run of the mill" for a GTA game. You gotta love the GAIII city to boot

Obviously you need cool case. Accessorizing is everything.

You'll definately want a case.
Logitech Playgear Pocket is my personal favorite. You can stick dirty little pictures inbetween the rubber and plastic casing for all the world to see.
Plus you can leave the PSP in it and play at the same time. All of the ports and switches are left accessable.
For games, get Lumines.
I'm not even into puzzle games but I still sat there for 4 hours playing it.
It's great.
