View Full Version : Getting A Warwick Dolphin Pro 2

Well yesterday I spent all my Christmas money, the majority of it being at guitar center and I put $100 down on a used Warwick Dolphin Pro 2. I have been looking it up and apparently every site I go to is in German and from what the person told me at guitar center was that this bass was discontinued. So far what I've gathered is that its a discontinued model that was only made in germany, sweetness. Can't wait till its in my posession. I have $600 left to pay on it and I need a job. Lol.

not a fan of the dolphin shape if it is the one i am thinking of............but however am a fan of warwick...

I like it how it looks from the back, but just staring at some random pics I found it seems that a coc k was sticking out of that thing.

you never hear much about Dolphins.. odd shape but still.. i wonder if it maintains that warwick growl?

I have played a Pro 1 and it sure did growl....a nice bass, and the neck was very smooth and comfy, but it didnt feel to great to play standing up (I like to wear my basses very high and it didn't feel to great that way) so ultimatley not a good thing for me.

Not really, the Pro 2 was a much cheaper model than the Pro 1 Dolphin. As I recall, the Pro 2 models were just a tiny bit more than the Corvette models offered at that time.

Nice buy man. I love warwicks alot. The dolphin line is very nice, when i played one it balenced sooooooo good. Enjoy and get some pics up when you get it.
