I tried it out after reading over a topic on another forum about the pros/cons of them. I went and tried a few out... some Pork Pie, but the one that caught my ear was a Spaun Acrylic snare. I found an image here: http://spaundrums.com/images/snares/AC%20coke%20vented.jpg
It's 6x13. After I tuned it I put it on a kit and played it, and had a friend play it too while I listened. I love it! My question is, what is a good price for this snare/any dark terrible secrets I should know about it?
Thanks.

That is, volcume wise, yes. But there actually is not much ring at all especially when compared to other acrylics.

Well it is vented, vented snares have less ring.

I know, I had 200 in cash in my wallet and I was just going to say ill pay you this if you ring it up for me right now...they usually will do that if you get it then and there...but my mom would have killed me

It's going for $239.99 at my local guitar center. Try the Pork Pie Acrylic 7x13 Amber PigLite... IMO it sounds better than the Spaun.
