the first time i was a little disapointed, but then i found a review(by romero), it said that the movie was a critic to the US, the president = bush, rich people = the ones involved at government corrupt and things like that, poor people = the real good americans, and the zombies = the rest of the world, who thanks to all those things that bush do they one day will become against US.
and yeah, i has really cool gore scenes, i want to get it, one thing at first i didnt like was what the zombies learn to do things, this also is a critic.
i recommend you to rent it first, then, if you like it, get it for you.

It was a decent film. Nothing spectacular.
It was building on Day of the Dead which seemed like just a movie to fill all the plot holes and mysteries of the first two Romero films.

i thought it was one of the best, if not the best, zombie movies i've ever seen, it was funny, and full of gore, so it rocked

Dawn Of The Dead is better.
Anybody seen Night Of The Living Dead? Watch it at 12:00 at night and its pretty creepy. Those c-rate zombies were scarier than the special effects ones :amaze:

Seconded. It's worth seeing at least once if you dig zombie movies, but Dawn of the Dead was better.

It's entertaining, pretty funny and you don't get bored halfway through. The gore was pretty fun as well. Clown zombie!
The black leader zombie was creepy though. :(

Night is awesome! It's a classic. The zombies are so well done. For being in black and white, it's surprisingly creepy.

Check out the old Dawn of the Dead. The gore is a little cheesy, but it's my favorite zombie movie. If you want gore that will make you sick, watch the last 20 minutes of Day of the Dead.

IMO House of 1000 Corpses is the best if you're looking for pure gore, but I don't know if it's technically a zombie film.

It was ok.
Actually, saying that, it was boring and uninspired, I was considering not watching the last chunk of it.

The end was disappointing. Usually the dick characters die the goriest deaths, but that old guy just died from an explosion.

Braindead/Dead Alive, directed by Peter Jackson, is the goriest movie I've ever seen. I saw the uncut version, banned in the US, UK and whatnot. It was a Japanese release and had a 45 minute scene of a guy running into zombies with a lawnmower.

I watched it, and I loved it immensly. In this film, zombies become intelligent and there are tons of people-eating scenes.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the movie you actually asked about.
If you've seen the old Romero movies, and liked them, this is your bag (baby). I'm somewhat of a Zombiefreak, and I feel this is a perfect conclusion to Romero's pride and joy. I'd say if you're into the zombie flicks, it's a must, simply because of who made it and what it is. This is the conclusion to the single most important horror series ever*.
*IMHO, of course.

There's only one gun death, but if you remember back to the original DawnOTD there's a newscast where the reporter talks about the zombies using simple tools and mentions that even apes will learn how to use simple tools, so I think that the theme of zombies using tools has been a theme for a while (plus Bub uses a gun in DayOTD).
It's not like the zombies pick up a gun and start picking guys off left right and centre (Canadian :p), only the "lead" zombie actually figures it out, and when used, it was used very clumsily. All in all it's a good movie but, not the best of the series.

Yep. He got his start making gore flicks.
edit: I found a piece of trivia about the aforementioned lawnmower scene @ imdb
During the lawnmower scene, blood was pumped at five gallons per second.
