I have this really cool recording of Canon in D which is really quite pretty, and found a midi of almost the exact recording (that way I can extract the notes since I haven't found sheet music). Turns out, it's actually in the key of C. I feel like I'd be cheating or just learning it wrong if I attempted to learn this version in the key of C, since it IS Canon in D after all -- it just doesn't feel right. Have you guys come across this recording or found something similar thats actually in D (maybe even sheet music if I'm lucky)?

This is the midi:

Sorry for the crapped up wording and sentence structure, I'm a bit tired

got any kind of messanger? I'll send you the music in pdf if you do, cuz I don't have it hosted anywhere. Or if you know somewhere I could host it or possibly transposition.

We also have a sticky for this btw

Yeah sorry it wasn't really a request for sheet music more than I was kind of wondering why a "professional" recording of Canon in D would be in C. Doesn't seem normal to me.

But hey, I'll take the sheet music ;) You can IM me at F1re Breather on AIM or I can see if I can catch you online (if your profile is right)

Maybe they couldn't afford the original score so the arranger just transposed Canon in D into Canon in C. I'll send you a recording in D too. :)
