Crappy pics is an understatement. Ummm...congrats on owning a kit though. From the little birds eye view picture it looks like you have a good set up. I used to have my old kit set up like that.

It's better than that.Thats what I am going to do, or I'll get my friend to take some pics with his decent digital camera after he takes a video of me folling around on that crappy kit.Haha those pictures are horrendous. Kit looks ok though Your ride appears SO far away though It is cause it's in the plce of the other tom which is being held by the free cymbal stand I got that I chnged into a tom holer, I can still crash and ride on it but the bell is kinda away so I have to lean forward slightly to hit it but thats preatty much the only problem other than having no reso heads and the batter heads being emporer, ambassador, encore and stock in that order on the toms lol. also I broke my rim by ripping a broken lug that wouldn't come off right through it.

Sorry about this misunderstanding, I was thinking in american dollars. It'd be about 4 american, which really isn't that bad for a cheap non-focusing camera.

How does the kit sound? which heads do you use?

The kit sounds alright I made the bass have a sort of punch in the face sound, but only because the stack reso sounds paperish and I have a PS3 for the batter, I'm gonna replace the batter with an EMAD and a EQ3 or G1 for the reso. the 12" tom is decent, it has a Clear Emporer which allows it to have nice low boomish sound thats nice and focused. The 13" tom has a clear amb, It sounds kind of dead for a 1 ply, but it has simalar qualitys to the emporer, the forst of the 16" Floor toms I have a Encore head, which is the same as a pin stripe, I have it tuned to it has a nice short boom, The other 16" Floor tom I have a stock reso on and it sounds simalar to the other 16" with more sustained. I hope to replace all my toms skins for Evans Clear g2 over Clear or Coated G1. On my snare I have a Coated Amb over a Hazy Emp. I like this combo it has crack with a nice amount of ring I think Im going to keep it like this or switch for a CS dot over a Clear glass 500 reso


Oh and I'm aware of how much my kit sux, I've been playing for like a year and 3 monts and out of all that I've only had this kit for 2 months.
I am going to upgrade the cymbals and heads witin the next year to

AAX Effects pack
AAX Fusion Hi-Hat 13"
AAX Plosion Crash 17"
AA Medium Crash 18"
HHX Chinese 18"
AAX Splash 8"
Sig Max splash 11"
and If I get a job in January I can get all that in 7-8 months if I make $200 a week and 10-12 months if I make $150 a week, thats right I figured that all out, thats what happens when u have to much spare time.

TS, was it a typo when you said 2 16X16 floor toms? Surely they're not both the same size? Wouldn't that mean you get the same sound out of both?

I used to think the same thing...but you wont make $150-$200 a week if your in school...you'll be lucky to get that in 2 weeks...(yes i live in Canada too)

Wouldn't that mean you get the same sound out of both?Nope I hve 2 ones tuned lower and has a stock head and the other has a pin on it, I have two of the same size because my parents got me that snare I'm using the floor tom and a 12" tom too. then I got my kit so I decided to use both, and to ppl who are saying don't waste your time posting this how about you do post in it and let it die then how bout that as an Idea. I am aware of how crappy the pics are thats why I named the thread what it is, and to anzballsandrice(sp?) If I can't make that much I have a little friend called financing that can at least help me get an AAX Stage and effects pack sooner, I am aware how much I will have to work to make that much.

Financing cymbals is stupid. If I would finance anything drum related it would be a pro kit that cost $2000 or more. And I'd have money down.

Just save up money to buy the aax stage cymbals. Take a look at MassMusic. They have the best cymbal prices.
